My late uncle, my mother's brother, was a Catholic priest. When I was a little girl sometime in the 1980s, he gave me a doll as a gift. It was a lovely doll - a cute little thing that had Velcro on her hands and feet so you could make her look like she was kneeling to say a prayer. I played with that doll quite a bit over the years. But as things happen, I started to grow up and she was put aside and hardly thought of any more.
Flash forward to my high school years when I wrote the very first draft of The Tiniest Angel's Gift. I laugh when I think that the original first manuscript has been around so long that it was typed using WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS and saved on a 3.5 floppy disk. Yes, I can still access it. I am a giant nerd after all.
Tune in next month to find out more about how all of these ramblings connect into a giant “God-wink”!
